Strong Middle/Senior Python Developer

Requirements:

Programming: Python 3.9, pytest, behave, boto3, IDE: VSCode

Strong experience working with microservice architecture.

Solid experience with AWS: API Gateway, CLI, Console, CodeBuild, CodePipeline, DocumentDB, DynamoDB, EventBridge, IAM, Lambda, SAM,

Secrets Manager, Step Functions, Systems Manager)

Solid experience with REST APIs: Stripe, Rapid7, Swagger/OpenAPI 3.xSource control: Git, BitBucket

Code review/analysis (Bitbucket, Codacy)

Issue and project tracking (JIRA, Confluence, Miro)

Good level of English for daily interaction with the customer

Job Responsibilities

Development and maintenance of AWS based micro-services focused on business logic within policy platform for a leading UK based insurance company.

Produce and maintain clean Python code

Contribute to application architecture - design and build

Building & improving software and services through CI/CD pipelines

Discuss and implement security protocols within software and services

Take part in sprint planning and estimate development efforts for features and stories, as well as participate in Code Review process

Department/Project Description

We are developing an interface into motor partner personal insurance for one of the largest UK insurance companies listed on the London Stock Exchange. We are building our system using a combination of modern Front-end technologies, microservices architecture, proven integration patterns and AWS Cloud.

The scope of work is back-end development focused on implementation, testing and maintenance of new features and legacy code base, in particular full policy management cycle including: invoicing, payment intents and chasing, pricing, amendments, premium overrides, policy renewals and cancellations.
