Senior Full-Stack Engineer

A product team that works in short delivery cycles and relies heavily on AI tooling throughout the development process. We need a senior engineer who is comfortable owning a product area end-to-end and who already works this way day to day — not someone who is curious about it.

Scope of work

• Design and ship complete applications: frontend, backend, data layer, APIs, deployment
• Make architectural calls and keep them pragmatic
• Set engineering conventions and quality standards for the team
• Run code reviews and give technical direction
• Build product features on top of LLMs: semantic search, document handling, summarisation, process automation, agent-style flows
• Apply AI assistants across your own workflow — writing, debugging, testing, refactoring, documenting
• Own authentication, authorisation, API security, data protection, and careful review of AI-generated code
• Judge correctly when something is a throwaway prototype and when it must be production-grade
• Hand over cleanly to the integration team when work moves to production

Must have

• 5+ years building software commercially
• Comparable track record in application architecture, setting team conventions, reviewing code, and running projects independently from start to finish
• Solid modern web stack: a major JS framework plus Node or Python, relational and non-relational storage, API design, cloud deployment
• Practical experience with modern hosting and backend-as-a-service platforms
• Strong grounding in secure development
• Active daily use of AI coding assistants — this is central to the role, not a bonus
• Recent work samples (last 2–3 months) of products built with AI assistance — links, repos, or demos
• Clear judgement on prototype vs production quality

Nice to have

• Background in operations-heavy products
• Experience moving AI-assisted prototypes into live systems
• Hands-on with LLMs, retrieval pipelines, agents, or automation tooling
