Looking for an offshore Scrum Master who can work with the India-based team and their work time schedule.
Support delivery teams using the Product Development Life Cycle (PDLC) to plan, execute, and continuously improve delivery of healthcare SaaS features. This role helps enable conditions for team flow of value by promoting a healthy, transparent team environment, supporting continuous improvement, and identifying/removing non-value add waste that slows concept-to-cash lead time.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Facilitates Scrum events (planning, daily scrum, review, retro) and maintains a sustainable team pace while continuously improving how the team uses them
- Coaches the team on Agile practices (definition of ready/done, estimation, WIP limits) to improve flow and quality
- Partners with the Product Owner to refine the backlog, improve story quality, and support effective prioritization
- Removes impediments and non-value add waste; facilitates timely decisions and escalates when blockers are outside the team’s control
- Tracks delivery health using metrics (cycle time, throughput, predictability) and leads continuous improvement toward a moving target of perfection
- Builds a healthy team environment (safe, transparent, and promotes autonomy, mastery, and purpose) and helps the team resolve conflict constructively
- Provides vertical engagement by partnering with Product Owner, engineering leads, and key stakeholders to clarify outcomes, surface decisions, and align expectations
- Coordinates dependencies and manages risks across teams, including release and operational readiness
- Ensures shippable deliverables are on time, within scope, and aligned with quality standards by reinforcing definition of done, readiness, and demo/release practices
- Collaborates with other Scrum Masters to share practices and standardize lightweight ways of working
- Maintains Agile tools (e.g., Jira/Confluence) and reporting accuracy; coaches the team on good hygiene
- Contributes to maturity assessments and improvement initiatives across the broader Agile community
Qualifications:
- Healthcare experience (Payer / Healthplan)
- Solid Scrum knowledge and ability to run ceremonies effectively
- Strong facilitation, communication, and collaboration skills
- Demonstrated ability to run ceremonies, remove impediments, and improve delivery using metrics
- Working knowledge of Agile tools (e.g., Jira/Confluence) and basic metrics
- Ability to partner effectively with Product Owners and engineering leads
- Skilled in team facilitation, conflict resolution, and servant leadership
- Proficient in Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, Miro, or equivalent
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to coach and mentor team members and junior Scrum Masters
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret Agile metrics
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, iterative development environment
