Description
We're looking for a Strong Middle DevOps Engineer to design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure for microservice-based products used in international markets.
Requirements
3+ years in production DevOps / Infrastructure / Platform Engineering roles
Hands-on experience designing and maintaining infrastructure for microservice-based applications
Strong working knowledge of at least one major cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure): compute, container orchestration, managed databases, object storage, IAM, networking, serverless, load balancing, secrets management
Ability to design infrastructure from scratch
Networking: VPC/VNet design, subnets, security groups, NAT gateways, firewall rules
Kubernetes — production experience with managed clusters (EKS, GKE, or AKS): Deployments, Services, Ingress, RBAC, Namespaces, ConfigMaps, Secrets, HPA
Troubleshooting pods, nodes, networking, and storage in production
Helm — creating and maintaining charts for microservice deployments
Docker & Docker Compose
Terraform — designing and maintaining multi-environment infrastructure
GitHub Actions — building complete pipelines
At least one additional CI/CD platform: GitLab CI, BitBucket Pipelines, or Azure DevOps
ArgoCD / GitOps — hands-on implementation experience
Understanding of deployment strategies: blue-green, canary, rolling updates
Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, AlertManager
Bash — confident scripting for automation, deployments, and maintenance
Python — automation scripts, deployment tooling, API integrations
DNS management: Route53, CloudFlare, or GoDaddy
Load balancers, reverse proxies, TLS/SSL certificate management
Ability to work as a sole DevOps engineer embedded in a dev team, or lead a small team
Proactive approach: not just executing tasks, but proposing improvements and optimizations
Clear incident communication and post-mortem documentation skills
English — B2 or higher (working-level communication with international clients)
We expect engineers to actively use AI in their daily work. Experience with tools such as Claude, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Codex, or similar is required.
You should be comfortable using AI for:
writing and refactoring Terraform modules, Helm charts, and automation scripts;
debugging infrastructure and pipeline issues;
log analysis and incident investigation;
writing tests, policies, and documentation;
improving delivery speed and infrastructure quality.
Nice to have
Track record of cloud migrations, zero-downtime deployments, or cost-optimization initiatives
Experience as a sole DevOps engineer or a small-team lead
Working-level familiarity with a second cloud — enough to support migrations or maintain existing environments; experience working across two clouds on the same project
Terragrunt
Custom Kubernetes Operators or CRDs
Service mesh (Istio, Linkerd)
Multi-cluster management, Karpenter for node autoscaling
Pipeline optimization: parallelization, caching, ephemeral environments
Experience improving deployment frequency from weekly to multiple times per day
CloudWatch, Datadog
SLO/SLI definition and tracking, incident response frameworks, on-call processes
Secrets management: AWS Secrets Manager, Azure Key Vault, or HashiCorp Vault
IAM policies, least-privilege access, VPC hardening
Security scanning in CI/CD: SonarQube, Trivy, Snyk, or similar
Supply chain security basics (image signing, SBOM)
Compliance-driven infrastructure experience (finance, healthcare)
Production experience administering and migrating PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB
Managed DB services: RDS, Cloud SQL, or Atlas; database migration planning
VPN / site-to-site connectivity
Certifications: CKA, AWS Solutions Architect Associate/Professional, AWS DevOps Professional, CKAD, Azure Administrator, GCP ACE
What you'll do
Design and build cloud infrastructure from scratch for microservice-based applications
Maintain multi-environment infrastructure with Terraform
Run and troubleshoot production Kubernetes clusters, maintain Helm charts
Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines, implement GitOps workflows with ArgoCD
Implement zero-downtime deployment strategies: blue-green, canary, rolling updates
Own the observability stack — metrics, logs, dashboards, alerting
Lead cost-optimization and cloud migration initiatives
Manage networking, DNS, certificates, and secure access
Handle incidents, run post-mortems, and improve reliability processes
Propose improvements rather than waiting for tasks
Mentor junior engineers and document what you build
Use AI-assisted tools as part of your daily workflow
What we offer
Competitive compensation
Ownership of the infrastructure and real influence on architectural decisions
Flexible working hours
Modern cloud-native stack and development workflow
Opportunity to work on products used in international markets
Small team with quick decision-making and minimal bureaucracy
