Description
We're looking for a Junior DevOps Engineer to join our team and work on infrastructure for products used in international markets.
This is a growth position: you'll be embedded in real production environments from day one and learn the full cloud-native stack under direct mentorship.
Requirements
0.5 – 2 years of hands-on experience in DevOps, SysAdmin, or Infrastructure roles (personal projects, internships, or bootcamp labs with cloud infrastructure count)
Confident daily work in a Linux terminal: file system navigation, permissions, process management
systemd basics — start/stop/status services, reading journalctl logs
SSH: key-based authentication, tunneling, config files
Networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, ports, HTTP/HTTPS, DNS; ability to troubleshoot whether the issue is DNS, firewall, security group, or the application itself
Understanding of one major cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure): compute, storage, networking, IAM, managed databases, logging
Ability to navigate the cloud console, read documentation, and follow existing infrastructure patterns
Docker — confident daily use; understanding of images, layers, volumes, and networks
Terraform — able to read, understand, and make small changes to existing configs
Git — daily working proficiency: branching, merging, rebasing, pull requests, resolving conflicts
Bash — simple scripts: loops, conditionals, variables, piping, grep/awk/sed for log parsing
Understanding of VPCs, subnets, security groups, and firewalls at a conceptual level
Attention to detail — routine operations require precision; a wrong terraform apply can be costly
Willingness to learn and comfort with asking questions — no silent struggling for hours
English — B1 or higher
We expect engineers to actively use AI in their daily work. Experience with tools such as Claude, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Codex, or similar is required.
You should be comfortable using AI for:
writing and refactoring Bash/Python scripts and Terraform configs;
debugging pipeline and build failures;
log analysis and troubleshooting;
writing runbooks and documentation;
speeding up routine operational work.
Nice to have
GitHub Actions — reading and modifying existing workflows, fixing common pipeline failures, adding simple stages (linting, notifications)
GitLab CI, BitBucket Pipelines, or any other CI tool
Any Kubernetes exposure — even local (minikube, kind) or tutorials: pods, deployments, services, kubectl basics
Any exposure to ArgoCD or GitOps concepts
Grafana — navigating dashboards, reading graphs, basic metric queries
Logs — searching and filtering in Loki, CloudWatch, or any log aggregator
Prometheus basics (metrics, targets, PromQL), Alertmanager
Python — basic level: reading and modifying scripts, simple API calls, JSON parsing
CloudFormation or Ansible basics, understanding of state management and remote backends
DNS record types (A, CNAME, MX, TXT), routine changes in Route53 or CloudFlare
Load balancers, reverse proxies (NGINX), TLS/SSL certificates
VPN / site-to-site connectivity basics
Basic SQL and backup/restore concepts for PostgreSQL or MySQL
Hands-on experience with a second cloud provider
Certifications: AWS Cloud Practitioner, AWS SAA, CKA/CKAD, LPIC-1, RHCSA, HashiCorp Terraform Associate
What you'll do
Maintain and update CI/CD pipelines — fix broken builds, add new stages, update dependencies
Monitor dashboards and respond to alerts — first-line triage, escalate to senior engineers when needed
Spin up and tear down dev, staging, and QA environments using existing Terraform configs
Build, tag, push, and troubleshoot Docker images in registries
Investigate application errors via Grafana/Loki, CloudWatch, or Datadog and write up findings
Rotate credentials, onboard/offboard users, manage IAM at the task level
Handle routine DNS record changes, SSL renewals, and domain configurations
Verify backups, perform minor database maintenance, monitor replication health
Keep runbooks, architecture diagrams, and onboarding guides up to date
Write small automations: cron jobs, cleanup scripts, notification integrations
Use AI-assisted tools as part of your daily workflow
What we offer
Competitive compensation
Direct mentorship from senior engineers and a clear growth path
Real production environments and a full cloud-native stack from day one
Flexible working hours
Modern development workflow
Opportunity to work on products used in international markets
Small team with quick decision-making and minimal bureaucracy
