Senior Python Engineer with product experience (fintech/data)

Pine Software Technology Ltd is a software company specializing in trading technology solutions for regulated brokers and trading firms. We build SaaS products that support electronic trading, brokerage operations, risk management, and financial data analysis.

The back office is responsible for reconciling balances following traders' transactions and for reporting to clients and regulators.

We are looking for a Senior Python Engineer who is collaborative, has a product mindset, and is reliable.

Responsibilities

Build, ship, and maintain backend features in Python 3.x + Django (incl. DRF) with solid tests (pytest).

Design and optimize PostgreSQL schemas/queries; own data migrations and performance tuning. Integrate and maintain external services (payments, email, auth, storage), with secure, idempotent APIs.

Implement background jobs with Celery/Redis, monitoring, and alerting.

Contribute to code reviews, CI/CD, and engineering standards (linting, typing, docs).

Diagnose production issues end-to-end (logs, metrics, traces) and drive root-cause fixes.

Requirements

5+ years of experience as a Python Engineer and 3+years of experience with Django.

Python 3.10+; Django 3.2/4.x; DRF; PostgreSQL (indexes, transactions, locking).

Celery + Redis (tasks, retries, schedules).

Testing culture (pytest, factory_boy, fixtures, coverage) and type hints (mypy/pyright).

REST API design (versioning, pagination, error contracts, idempotency).

Docker, basic Linux, and CI/CD (GitHub Actions/GitLab CI).

Observability: structured logging, metrics, basic tracing; using Sentry/Prometheus/Grafana.

Security basics: OWASP Top 10, secrets management, least privilege.

Caching & messaging: Redis patterns, RabbitMQ/Kafka basics.

Async APIs (FastAPI), GraphQL, websockets.

Infra: AWS (ECS/EKS/Lambda, RDS, S3, CloudWatch), Terraform.

Frontend fluency for Django templates or simple React/TypeScript components.

Performance profiling (cProfile, PySpy), feature flags, i18n.

Security hardening (CSP, rate limiting, audit trails).
