Requirements
5+ years of commercial QA experience
Strong hands-on test automation experience
Hands-on experience AUTOMATING Windows desktop applications — required
Experience writing and maintaining automated tests for native Windows / desktop-specific scenarios, not only web applications
Playwright + TypeScript
Experience with functional, regression and release testing
Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD
English: Intermediate+
Ability to independently investigate failures and maintain reliable automation
Important: This is not a Web Automation QA position.
We are looking for an engineer who has already worked hands-on with Windows desktop test automation. Experience with Playwright/web automation alone is not sufficient.
What you’ll work on
Functional and automated testing of a Windows desktop application
Building and maintaining automated regression coverage
Electron UI automation with Playwright + TypeScript
Automating Windows-specific scenarios that cannot be covered by Playwright
Testing installation and application upgrades on Windows 10/11
Testing integrations, OCR/element detection and desktop-specific flows
Running automation in Windows CI environments and investigating failed/flaky tests
Gradually replacing repetitive manual regression with reliable automation
Strong advantage
Windows UI Automation, AutoIt, FlaUI, WinAppDriver, Appium Windows Driver or similar
C#/.NET testing
Electron
Installer / updater automation
OCR / computer vision testing
Windows Registry / services / filesystem testing
GitHub Actions or other Windows-based CI
Multi-monitor / different resolutions / DPI testing
