IT Storage Engineer

Requirements:

Minimum 3 years of experience in Storage Administration, System Administration, or a

similar infrastructure role.

Good knowledge of enterprise storage

concepts

Practical experience with Linux and Windows Server

administration and troubleshooting.

Good understanding of FC, iSCSI,

Fibre Channel zoning, WWN, HBA, and multipathing concepts.

Experience

with enterprise storage systems such as Huawei OceanStor, Dell EMC, HPE, NetApp, or similar

platforms.

Basic to intermediate knowledge of VMware vSphere/ESXi and

storage integration with virtualization platforms.

Good understanding of

networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, VLAN, subnetting, Ethernet, DNS, DHCP, and routing.

Ability to analyze and monitor performance, and troubleshoot hardware/software-related

incidents.

CompTIA A+ and Server+ certifications are preferred. Knowledge

of cloud computing concepts and cloud platforms is also an advantage.

Responsibilities:

Administer and maintain enterprise storage systems, including storage provisioning,

monitoring, and capacity management.

Perform storage provisioning

activities such as creating LUNs, volumes, file systems, and storage pools.

Configure and maintain SAN and NAS environments, including FC and IP-based storage

connectivity.

Configure and manage storage connectivity between servers

and storage systems, including FC zoning and multipathing.

Monitor

storage performance, capacity, health status, and identify potential performance or availability

issues.

Perform storage-related troubleshooting together with Server,

Network, and Virtualization teams.

Configure and troubleshoot RAID,

disks, HBA, NIC, multipathing, and other server/storage hardware components.

Perform storage-related activities in VMware and other virtualization environments, including

datastore and storage connectivity management.

Prepare technical

documentation, implementation procedures, incident reports, and operational records for storage and server

environments.
