IT Business Analyst

Responsibilities

Gather, analyze, document, and validate functional and non-functional requirements.

Translate business processes into system specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, and testable scenarios.

Design and document employee activity tracking, time allocation, managerial approval, and exception-handling workflows.

Define business rules for weekly reporting, configurable working hours, approval hierarchies, delegation, and access permissions.

Collaborate with business stakeholders to maintain organizational structures, activity catalogs, project catalogs, and employee parameters.

Prepare process diagrams, workflow descriptions, API-related specifications, and data mapping documentation.

Maintain requirements and decisions in Jira and Confluence.

Support QA activities, user acceptance testing, pilot operations, and change management.

Ensure consistency between business requirements and implemented functionality.

Required Qualifications

At least 3 years of experience in business or systems analysis for enterprise software projects.

Strong knowledge of requirements engineering, BPMN, UML, and process modeling.

Ability to write precise functional specifications and unambiguous acceptance criteria.

Understanding of relational databases, SQL, REST APIs, and system integration concepts.

Experience with workflow systems, approval processes, and role-based access models.

Practical experience with Jira and Confluence.

Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.

Fluent Azerbaijani and Russian.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with HR management, workforce management, time tracking, or project accounting systems.

Familiarity with Active Directory, organizational hierarchies, and enterprise identity management.

Experience working with developers and testers in short delivery cycles.

Understanding of BI reporting requirements and data quality principles.
