Technical Support Engineer (German)

We are seeking a proactive, enthusiastic, and passionate Technical Support Engineer to work as part of a dedicated team to support client customers with their challenges.

Responsibilities

Provide End-User support, expertise, and technical knowledge to customers

Answer queries and resolve issues with software applications, and escalate or close tickets as necessary

Maintain contact with our customers to keep them up to date on the current status of their open tickets

Document and log bugs and enhancement requests

Provide changes to managed products within company processes

Collaborate and share your know-how, expertise, and experience with our Development, Product, Professional Services, and Customer Success teams to play a key role in the continuous improvement of our products

Required Skills and Experience

Experience in a customer-facing role, working in a support capacity, as a consultant, or in a web design agency environment where you worked with clients

Strong written and verbal communication skills in both German and English

Strong understanding and working knowledge of Java

General understanding of common data formats such as XML and JSON

General understanding of other website-related technologies, including web servers/hosting, internet protocols and other standards (e.g. HTML, TLS, DNS, CDN etc.)

Working knowledge of certificates, both client-side and server-side

Working knowledge of client-side scripting and stylesheets (e.g. JavaScript, jQuery, CSS)

Nice to Have

Linux, Apache, and Tomcat setup / confihure experience

General understanding of databases and SQL
