About TheTop

We’re a small, fast-moving team with a US-based business side. No layers of management. No endless approval chains. Ideas go from experiment to production in days, not quarters.

We’re looking for a Strong Middle DevOps Engineer to own the infrastructure behind TheEngine. Every enterprise customer gets its own isolated environment, either in our AWS or in the customer’s own account. Your job is to make spinning up, securing and running these environments fast, repeatable and boring, all through Terraform.

You’ll work closely with our engineering team and with our US office, so a solid overlap with US Eastern Time is part of the role.

Stack

AWS (ECS, VPC, IAM, Secrets Manager, CloudWatch, multi-account setup), Terraform, GitHub Actions with OIDC, Docker, Python + FastAPI services, TypeScript frontend.

What You’ll Do

Own and grow our Terraform codebase: modules, state management, and multi-environment and multi-account deployments

Turn a new customer environment into a single repeatable Terraform run, from roughly a day today down to hours

Run and improve our environments: dev, stage, demo, and isolated per-customer production cells

Support deployments into customers’ own AWS accounts (BYOC)

Build and maintain CI/CD on GitHub Actions: OIDC to AWS, safe rollouts and rollbacks

Enforce security that enterprise customers expect: least-privilege IAM, secrets isolation, network segmentation, audit trails

Set up monitoring and alerting, respond to incidents, and keep the AWS bill under control (account structure, right-sizing, cost visibility)

Document infrastructure and changes so the team can move fast without guessing

Requirements

3+ years of commercial DevOps / Cloud / SRE experience, including 2+ years with AWS in production

Strong Terraform skills: writing reusable modules, managing remote state, handling multiple environments and accounts

Hands-on experience with ECS, VPC networking, IAM, Secrets Manager and CloudWatch

Experience building CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions

Docker and containerized deployments

Scripting in Python and/or Bash

Solid understanding of cloud security practices

Regular use of AI tools in daily work (Claude Code, Copilot or similar)

Upper-Intermediate English or higher; you’ll talk directly with the US team

Availability to work with the US office on Eastern Time: being online until 22:00–23:00 Kyiv time

Will Be a Plus

AWS Organizations / multi-account architecture (Control Tower or similar)

Experience deploying into customer-owned cloud accounts

FinOps and AWS cost optimization experience

Experience with LLM / AI infrastructure

Kubernetes (EKS)

Security compliance work for enterprise customers (SOC 2, ISO 27001)

AWS certification

What We Offer

Full ownership of the infrastructure, with decisions made by you, not a committee

Remote-first setup with a shifted schedule: start your day later to match the US office’s hours

Direct collaboration with the engineering lead, CTO and founders

A product already running production traffic for enterprise customers

How to Apply

Send your CV with salary expectations and a few lines about the most interesting AWS/Terraform setup you’ve built.
