Description

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join its in-house platform team (team of 5) as an embedded offshore engineer. You will own Kubernetes workloads on AWS, GitOps delivery with ArgoCD, CI/CD pipelines, and the observability stack — and treat internal dev teams as your customers. The role includes an on-call rotation.

Must-haves

5+ years hands-on DevOps experience in cloud-based environments, ideally in startups / scale-ups serving large enterprise customers.

Kubernetes in production (EKS): workload management, networking, troubleshooting.

ArgoCD / GitOps and CI/CD pipelines (e.g. GitHub Actions): build, maintain, extend and debug independently; able to walk through real CI/CD flows you designed.

Observability: hands-on ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash/Fluentd, Kibana) and Grafana — writing alerts, dashboards and runbooks. Datadog, Coralogix or Groundcover a plus.

Terraform (IaC) in production.

AWS: EKS, RDS, MSK, SQS/SNS, Lambda.

Scripting in Python and Bash.

Nice-to-haves

Kafka, MongoDB, Redis or SingleStore.

Pulumi or Flux.

Basic FinOps / cloud cost awareness.

AI-driven approach: uses AI tooling day to day to reduce toil and automate work.

Soft skills

High ownership end-to-end — not just until the PR is merged.

Strong written and spoken English; active in async Slack discussions, writes clear technical summaries.

Service mindset: internal developers are the customer; responds fast and follows through until resolved.

Works independently with minimal hand-holding; flags blockers and risks early.
