Project/Support Team Developer

We are looking for a mid-level or senior Project/Support Team Developer to join the team

working on CenataSure, our online, multi-tenant platform supporting the reinsurance business.

This is a broad, hands-on development role combining full-stack software development with

second-line technical support and investigation. You will work across backend, frontend and data-processing

components, investigating technical and data-related issues and implementing the appropriate solution — whether that

is a code change, a data correction, or a combination of both.

A significant part of the role involves investigating issues within our Apache

Spark-based data-processing platform. You will not be expected to know every technology in our stack from day one:

strong development fundamentals, analytical thinking, and the ability to understand unfamiliar systems matter more

than prior experience with every technology listed below.

Responsibilities

Technical Investigation & Second-Line Support

Investigate and resolve complex technical and data-related issues escalated by

first-line support teams

Analyse issues using source code, system

behaviour, logs, and actual data

Investigate problems across backend,

frontend, and data-processing components

Analyse existing Apache Spark /

Scala processing logic and its impact on resulting data

Trace issues

across multiple system components to identify root causes

Take ownership

of investigations from initial analysis through to implementation and validation of the

solution

Implement solutions including backend fixes, frontend fixes,

Spark/Scala data-processing fixes, and data-fix scripts

Investigate data

across Azure Cosmos DB, Data Lake/Hive tables, and SQL databases

Validate

implemented solutions and verify their results

Document investigation

results, root causes, and implemented solutions

Communicate technical

findings and required actions to first-line support and other project team members

Backend Development

Develop and maintain backend functionality using C# / .NET

Develop and maintain microservices and REST APIs

Implement new backend features and enhancements

Investigate and resolve backend defects

Work with

existing application architecture and patterns, including MediatR

Participate in code reviews and technical discussions

Frontend Development

Develop and maintain frontend functionality using Angular and

TypeScript

Implement new functionality and UI

improvements

Investigate and resolve frontend

defects

Work with and extend the existing frontend

codebase

Collaborate with backend developers to deliver end-to-end

functionality

Development Practices & Collaboration

Work with Azure DevOps for planning, tracking, and managing development work and

source code

Participate in code reviews and maintain good engineering

practices

Collaborate with developers, first-line support teams, and

other project stakeholders

Share knowledge and contribute to improving

development and support processes

Continuously learn and apply

technologies relevant to the project

Requirements

Strong practical experience with C# / .NET

Experience developing and maintaining backend services and REST APIs

Good understanding of microservice architecture

Practical experience with Angular and TypeScript

Good SQL skills and the ability to investigate data independently

Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills

Strong

analytical and problem-solving abilities

Ability to understand and

investigate unfamiliar existing codebases

Ability to analyse technical

issues using source code, system behaviour, and data

Ability to identify

root causes and determine appropriate technical solutions

Ability to

independently take ownership of complex technical investigations

Willingness and ability to learn unfamiliar technologies

Ability to clearly document technical investigations, findings, and

solutions

Good communication and teamwork skills

Experience working with Git and Azure DevOps development workflows

Preference given to

Experience with MediatR or similar mediator/CQRS patterns

Experience with Azure Cosmos DB or another NoSQL database

Experience with Apache Spark

Experience with

Scala

Familiarity with distributed data processing and data

pipelines

Experience working with Data Lake

technologies

Familiarity with Parquet and Delta Lake

Experience working with Hive-style tables or similar data platforms
