PLC Automation Engineer (Siemens S7 / TIA Portal)

Riga B2B SIA is a Latvian industrial support company specializing in workforce solutions,

engineering services, technical supervision and project support for industrial, mechanical, electrical, piping,

steel structure and manufacturing projects across Europe.

We are looking for an experienced PLC Automation Engineer to join our team for long-term

industrial automation projects in Germany. The position involves PLC software development, commissioning, testing

and troubleshooting of industrial automation systems based on Siemens SIMATIC S7 controllers using Siemens TIA

Portal.

Responsibilities

Develop and modify PLC software for Siemens SIMATIC S7 controllers using Siemens TIA

Portal.

Test, commission and optimize industrial automation

systems.

Perform troubleshooting and diagnostics of PLC-controlled

equipment.

Configure PLC hardware, I/O modules and industrial

communication networks.

Develop and maintain HMI applications (WinCC or

similar).

Read and interpret electrical schematics and technical

documentation.

Support installation and commissioning activities at

customer sites.

Prepare and maintain technical

documentation.

Cooperate with engineering teams, customers and project

managers.

Requirements

Proven experience as a PLC Automation Engineer, PLC Software Engineer or Automation

Engineer.

Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant engineering

discipline is mandatory.

Strong hands-on experience with Siemens SIMATIC

S7 PLC programming.

Excellent knowledge of Siemens TIA

Portal.

Experience with industrial automation, machine commissioning and

production systems.

Ability to read and understand electrical

schematics.

Knowledge of industrial communication protocols will be

considered an advantage.

Strong analytical and troubleshooting

skills.

Advanced English language proficiency (minimum C1) is

mandatory.

The role requires professional communication with

international engineering teams, customers and project managers.

German

language skills will be considered an advantage.
