About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join a long-term project.

You’ll work on designing and developing scalable data solutions using modern Databricks and Azure technologies, combining hands-on engineering with architectural responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

Design and evolve scalable data architectures based on Data Lakehouse principles.

Define technical solutions and architectural approaches for data processing, integration, and storage.

Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines using Databricks, Apache Spark, and Python.

Build and maintain data workflows and integrations using Azure Data Factory and Azure Storage.

Establish and maintain data governance, access control, and data management practices using Unity Catalog.

Ensure data solutions are scalable, reliable, secure, and maintainable.

Collaborate with engineers and other stakeholders to translate business and technical requirements into effective data solutions.

Contribute to technical decisions, architecture documentation, and best practices across the project.

Identify opportunities to improve existing data solutions, processes, and overall platform performance.

What We’re Looking For

Senior-level experience in Data Engineering, with strong architectural thinking

Hands-on experience with Databricks, Spark, and Python

Solid understanding of Data Lakehouse architecture

Practical experience with Unity Catalog, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Storage

Ability to design scalable and reliable data solutions and make technical decisions

English - B2 or higher

German B1 will be a plus
