About the Project

We’re building an AI-powered video platform that aggregates and processes content from multiple social media sources. Users interact with video data through contextual search, LLM-powered features, and AI agent workflows.

We’re looking for a Senior Backend Engineer with a Python focus who will work on backend services, AI integrations, agent-based workflows, and AWS infrastructure.

Python is the primary language for this role.

Experience with Node.js / TypeScript is a strong advantage and an important part of the existing backend stack. Familiarity with React is a plus.

Your Role

As a Backend Engineer, you’ll take ownership of backend services, APIs, integrations, AI-powered features, and agent workflows.

Most of the new backend and AI-related development is done in Python, while the product also includes existing Node.js / TypeScript services that you may contribute to.

You’ll work closely with frontend, product, CTO and participate in architecture and technical decisions.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Python

Build AI- and agent-powered backend functionality

Develop APIs and integrations with external services and AI providers

Build and maintain serverless services on AWS Lambda

Work with AWS services including Cognito, DynamoDB, Lambda, and Step Functions

Design asynchronous and event-driven workflows

Integrate LLMs and AI services into production systems

Work with structured data and validation using Pydantic

Contribute to existing Node.js / TypeScript backend services

Troubleshoot backend performance, integrations, and production issues

Participate in architecture and technical design decisions

Strong Plus

Commercial experience with Node.js / TypeScript

Ability to confidently work with an existing Node.js backend codebase

Experience with Express

Experience with Serverless Framework

Experience with event-driven architectures

Terraform or other Infrastructure-as-Code tools

AI / LLM

Experience integrating OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google GenAI
