Senior 5G Core Network Engineer / Specialist

On behalf of our client, we are looking for a Senior 5G Core Network Engineer / Specialist.

About the Role

We are looking for someone experienced in network configuration from a design and definition perspective, with a deep understanding of the architecture of the different nodes that make up the Core and the ability to define, implement, and maintain configurations in production environments.

Responsibilities:

• Define, implement, and maintain network configurations in production environments
• Work with configuration definition and configuration management
• Maintain golden configurations
• Plan and execute configuration windows
• Manage production changes and change control
• Assess configuration impact and ensure network stability
• Work with 5G Core / 5G SA environments
• Work with Core Network architecture, network functions/nodes, and their interactions

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in Mobile / Core Network engineering
• 1+ year of experience with 5G SA
• 3+ years of experience with network configuration and production change management
• Solid commercial experience with 5G Core / 5G SA environments
• Strong understanding of Core Network architecture, network functions/nodes, and their interactions
• Hands-on experience with configuration design, definition, implementation, and maintenance
• Experience with golden configurations and configuration management
• Ability to assess configuration impact and ensure network stability in complex production environments
• Experience with major Core vendors such as Ericsson, Nokia, or Huawei
• English B2 level sufficient for technical communication with customers and engineering teams

Nice to Have:

• Basic or intermediate knowledge of NETCONF and YANG
• Experience with Configuration Management / orchestration tools such as Ericsson ENM, Cisco NSO, or HPE Service Director
