Golang Team Leader / AI Product Engineer

Eastern Peak is looking for an experienced Golang Team Lead / AI Product Engineer to join an AI tourism platform building AI-driven search, recommendation, and content enrichment products on top of a Go microservices backend. The team works in small, focused pods, using Claude Code and other AI tools to ship fast.

What We're Looking For:

5+ years of hands-on Golang experience in production

2+ years of technical leadership experience

Hands-on experience with Claude Code or similar AI coding tools

Prior experience in an AI-native or AI-augmented engineering team

Experience in startups

A genuinely product-driven mindset - you think about user value and business outcomes before implementation

Comfort facilitating and coordinating a team, and communicating frequently with customers

Ownership mentality

Excellent spoken English.

What You'll Do:

Lead a team covering one or more of: an AI search & recommendation engine for major travel enterprises (SSO, security reviews, GDS integrations), a high-scale content enrichment API, and partner/supplier data ingestion pipelines

Contribute hands-on as an engineer - own features end-to-end, use Claude Code to generate Golang backend code, review AI output for quality and architectural fit, and thoroughly test your own work

Coordinate work across the team: break initiatives into chunks, sequence them, surface blockers, and facilitate hand-offs (there are no project managers)

Gather client requirements first-hand, join client meetings, and act as the spokesperson for your pod internally with product, design and leadership, and externally with clients and partners

Represent your team in product planning sessions, bringing a strong product-driven point of view to scoping and trade-offs

Help team members with product decisions and prioritization

Take part in an on-call rotation to help maintain the platform's reliability and uptime.
